I don't know if Steffy is showing her desire for Liam or her desire to meddle! Either way, I will enjoy her learning that Sheila was trying to stop Sugar.

Yes, and whether there's corroborating evidence or not, it will be enough. For example, it was enough when Thomas gave his version of events on the road that night with Emma. The writers have a habit of redeeming based upon the redeemie's words.

Enough for Finn and Deacon, yes. Because they’ll take it at face value and not question that the story doesn’t make sense.

One has to hear the story before determining and seeing if it's corroborated before deciding it's wrong, it's a lie, and it doesn't make sense. And if the writers have shown anything, it's that Deacon and Finn will not take things at face value. If they did, Sheila would still be chained in that building.

Finn and Deacon are so happy to have found her, they’re not going to put her story under a microscope. There’s a difficult conversation coming.
